Menus

The nursery Chefs cook fresh cooked meals daily in the fully equipped kitchen on site. We have fresh vegetables and meat delivered twice a week.

The nursery was awarded 5 stars from the food safety star rating scheme which is recognised as excellent.

Copies of our menus are displayed in both rooms.

Nutritious and well balanced meals are provided throughout the day.The nursery follows a 4 week menu rota; it’s been designed to meet all the dietary requirements, we also have a vegetarian option.

Breakfast is available until 9.00 am.

A mid morning healthy snack with diluted fruit juice is provided at about 10.00am.

A home cooked 2 course lunch is served from 11.30am. Staff are encouraged to eat with the children

Either a hot or cold light tea is provided at about 4.00pm. We offer water or milk for the children to drink and drinking water is always available throughout the day.

Staff are asked to encourage children to relax whilst eating and to respect children’s individual speed of eating. Children are encouraged to enjoy meal times as social occasions, using good table manners and sensible behaviour.

Allergies and specific dietary requirements can be catered for. Young babies have a diet appropriate to their specific needs which contains no salt, sugar or unnecessary additives.
